Position Summary
The Facility Maintenance 1 position works independently to manage various Facility Maintenance tasks in various fields such as Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fabrication, Painting and general cleaning.
Who you are and what you'll do
Building maintenance duties, Painting, cleaning, carpentry, cement/masonry work
Installation and/or repairs to plumbing systems for bathrooms, breakrooms and production floor consisting of drains and fixtures
Maintenance and operation of foot-bath systems
Repairs and maintenance to HVAC units, including filters, drains, screens, motors, drive systems, wiring, bearings, greasing, control devices, duct system and related
Welding, brazing, soldering, use of cutting torch
Replace/repair broken window, doors and door accessories
Completes daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment
Perform miscellaneous housekeeping and other duties as assigned
Perform tasks related to the shipping and receiving of equipment and parts such as constructing crate, etc.
Replace/repair light fixtures as needed, ballast replacement and basic electrical wiring, cleaning of lenses and fixtures as required
Perform misc. work including hanging pictures, communication boards, and etc.
Performance of minor maintenance on walls and floors of facility
Develop and follow established Automated Maintenance Management Systems (MegaMation)
Develop, Coach, Train and follow established Preventative Maintenance (PM)
Follow all required safety procedures and work in a safe manner
Performs work as directed by Supervisor and /or designated team leader
Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Need To Succeed
High School diploma
2 years' minimum experience with Facility Utility equipment and process
Must be flexible within pattern of shift work to accommodate factory shutdowns, training courses etc and emergency cover.
Must be open to work required overtime
Must be open to work irregular hours as required to satisfy job duties
Must be open to flexible working hours which includes days, night, weekends and Holidays
Ability to work in both hot and cold conditions, on ladders and platforms, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
Ability to pass cardiopulmonary physical as required by OSHA for respirator use (including fit test) and perform work in a HAZMAT suit.
