In order to support Total’s ambition in offshore wind in the context of the new Group Climate ambition (Net zero scope 1-3 by 2050, 35 GW of REN capacity by 2025), the Offshore wind business development grows accordingly and recruits a Senior business developer who will support the Head of development Europe on various deals (tenders, M&A), with a high enough experience to deliver with confidence at least one successful bid (typically in the 500 MW size range) right from the first year.
As a direct report to Head of/VP Offshore wind development for specific zones, the Senior Business Developer will :
· Ensure market and regulatory watch of the countries in one’s respective zone.
· Contribute to develop and implements the development strategy in Continental Europe taking into account the various applicable business models (CfD, subsidy free, CPPAs etc.)
· Ensure good relations with public & private stakeholders, define relevant PRA strategies and participate to relevant meetings, sometimes as single Total representative.
· Identify, negotiate and establish partnerships for projects at various development stages (joint bidding, joint development, co-investment)
· Manage comprehensive bid teams (technical, financial, legal, stakeholders management, procurement and supply chain, Environmental, HSE) and define strategies for specific tenders or acquisitions, in coordination with partners and local entities of the group, acting as the main point of contact with the partners,
· Prepare and present the dossiers to relevant internal decision committees including COMEX
· Initiate execution phases of awarded and/ or acquired projects ensuring a smooth handover to the relevant teams (asset management, development, construction management).
· Prepare and follow-up project budgets.
