Job Description

We offer a contract of 6 months in our Legal departement from November 2020.

The jobholder is sharing with his colleagues, in terms of volume and interest, the various duties of the Contracts Coordination which consist of:
·  Area of activity of the Contracts Coordination team: worldwide.
·  Contractual area of the Contracts Coordination team: term contracts (about 400 term contracts per year), storage agreements (about 70 storage and sub-lease agreements), support to Trading Operators on spot contracts.
·  Contracts Coordination team: team of 10 Contracts Coordinators (two of whom are based in Singapore, one in Houston, the jobholder in Geneva with the rest of the team and 7 in Geneva.
Activitie : 

Providing contractual advice to Tradersat the time of deal conclusion, drafting and sending the term contracts to the counterparties and negotiating the contractual and legal aspect of the deals (Crude or Products), ensuring that thecorrespondence concerning the contracts is dealt with in a timely manner,providing tenders review upon request and drafting offers if needed, and coordinating all the inputs of the involved departments (Credit / Taxes / Ops / Shipping / Demurrage);

Helping Trading Operators to draft/amend ‘spot’ contracts (contracts covering only one delivery) of Crude or Products by giving them a legal support;

Developing master agreements with counterparts;

Ensuring a good usage of the General Terms and Conditions (GTC’s) governing each transaction and from time to time analysing them (in particular risks exposure) and commenting them upon request;

As per internal procedures,ensuring all term and storage contracts (including amendments and appropriate authorities obtained) are duly electronically recorded in the internal database(s) and easily accessible to relevant departments and ensuring all term contracts reflect the terms agreed as recorded in the deal capture system;

Creating blank forms to support Trading Operators activity where appropriate and keeping existing blank forms updated.

Candidate profile

Master degree in Law studies completed by an operational experience or an experience in commodities trading contracts or commodities trading legal matters. Good knowledge of delivery terms/Incoterms.
Rigorous, reactive, team spirit, dynamic, open minded, able to work under pressure.
Fluent English skills (both verbal and written). Good knowledge of French.
