Reuters is looking for an experienced journalist to take on one of the most exciting and challenging jobs in the region. The Financial Market Correspondent will get to cover financial markets, especially French equity markets, and will be writing in French.

The successful candidate will write leads with impact and insight on major developments, showing a firm understanding of business strategy, end-markets and the personalities of the decision makers. They will have an eye for an unreported angle and the stamina to keep pace with ever changing financial markets. We need a strong team player who will collaborate closely with corporate finance teams, beat reporters and editors around the world.

Profil recherché

Required Skills

·  Strong reporting skills and news judgment
·  Ability to write stories quickly and accurately in French
·  Excellent, broad source-building to break news and write stories
·  Proven track record of idea generation and delivery of well-reported stories
·  Understanding of the news needs of our business; ability to identify news relevant to our clients
·  Bilingual in French/ English Desired Skills

·  Proven interest in the beat
·  Numeracy and understanding of business finance
·  An ability to spot and follow through on multimedia reporting opportunities
