Internship - Propulsion Engineer (M/F)
Based in Cannes (France)



Job Description :

The activity will take place in the Propulsion Service within Platform Engineering Department. Propulsion Service is reponsible for Chemical / Electric Propulsion sub-system for Telecomunication, Science and Observations missions. The activities cover a wide range of skills (system engineering, functional analysis, equipment qualification, desing office, Oribt Operation & in-orbit survey)

Ariane Group Propulsion Department (Germany) is starting the development of a new Electric Thruster.

The objective of the trainee activity is to evaluate the feasibility to use this Thruster on Thales Alenia Space satellites.

The main tasks of the Working Plan are :
- Thruster technical overview and associated performances
- Survey of possible use on TAS satellite (constellation, mini-sat, ...)
- Analysis of impact to implement this thruster (impact on Propulsion System, impact on Satellite)
- Analysis of impact in term of overall development plan (macro technical / cost / schedule)
- Conclusion

Technical skills :
- Master's degree in aerospace

- Knowledge in general propulsion engineering (performances and budgets) and in electrical propulsion (mechanic, electricity and plasma).

- You can speak, read and write technical documentation in English

- Knowledge of mechanical, thermal and electrical architecture and project management would be appreciated.
