Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), is a key European player in space telecommunications, navigation, Earth observation, exploration and orbital infrastructures.

The software department is looking for an :

Internship – Database & HMI software engineer (H/F)
based in Cannes

WHO ARE YOU ?



Currently undertaking 3rd year tertiary studies in Computer Science or Software Engineering , you can demonstrate a solid knowledge and understanding of Object Orientated methodologies , software design patterns , mainly in JAVA and UML environments.

Having specific Eclipse EMF & RCP skills would be an advantage.

Ideally, you are also used to the following frameworks & environments : Jenkins, Git, Maven, AngularJS, NatTable.

You have a working level of English , you are able to read and write technical documentation and you can participate in technical discussions with ease.

Self-reliant and with an inquiring mind , you have no trouble adjusting to the current or future technical environment while being a creative force for the team.

WHAT WE CAN DO TOGETHER :

You'll be part of the Control Segment and Satellite Test Benches department, responsible of ground means and test benches software development for Telecom, Observation and Navigation domains. In the frame of this product line, the « system data base » is the software solution allowing to share the definition and production data of satellites for the full life cycle of space programs.

To adress challenges of data gathering with the intention of improving the way it's shared and thus contribute to processes convergences, our will is to develop a software solution focused on collaborative work, meeting genericity, interoperability and evolutivity consequent needs.

The goal of this intership is to set up end-to-end tests automation for this data base software solution :

- Needs capture : identifying tests use cases to be implemented with the help of the validation team

- State of the art analysis : choosing frameworks fitting the software technical environment (Eclipse RCP, HTML/AngularJS)

- Automated tests development & continuous integration
