Thales Alenia Space Belgium (ETCA) is the world leader in power conditioning and distribution for satellites and the main supplier of electronics for Ariane 5.

Our ‘DOP' (Direction of Operations) department is looking for a

Automated Line technician

In our new highly automated facility producing photovoltaic panels for satellites, you drive automated assembly machines, test benches or thermal cycling chambers for prototypes and flight models.

Along with the ongoing installation of the production line and machines, you will participate in the definition and implementation of the production competencies and capacity, in a cutting edge technical environment

The position is located in our HASSELT plant, with relations with our other plants based in Leuven and in Charleroi.

Activity:

· Within the scope of precision mechanical factoring, gluing, welding and testing, you will pilot automated machines, survey the assembly technologies and monitor the processes parameters

· You will record and document the required evidences of processes inspection and control through “4.0” software tools.

· You will assist the process/product engineer in identifying and implementing improvements of products and processes through the Thales lean production system

Profile:

· You have Bachelor in mechanics with CNC skill or equivalent

· A good level in English for reading machines and process instructions is required

· You are, Autonomous, self-starter, rigorous and using a systematic approach.

· You are a team worker

· A first relevant experience in technology production environment is required

· A first experience in working with statistics and/or statistic tools is a plus
