The Role

TheElectrical Installer is part of Tesla’s Energy Field Operations team.Thisteam is a group of highly skilled, uniquely talented people passionate about accelerating the world’s transition to sustainable energy. As a skilled member of the team, the Electrical Installer will help complete the installations of residential PV solar systems, the Powerwall, Solar Roof and EV wall connectors. The ideal candidate will provide electrical expertise that will contribute to the overall success of installing Tesla’s energy products. All necessary training, tools and equipment will be provided.

Responsibilities

·  Work cooperatively with a team to complete the installation of all energy products including PV solar systems, Powerwall, Solar Roof and EV wall connectors **
·  Complete residential Main Panel Upgrades (MPU) **
·  Work with peers and leadership to evaluate job requirements and cost
·  Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical component and system issues **
·  Lead efforts on safe work practices for the Field Operations team
·  Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the process by educating customers about the product(s) and offering real-time updates on job status
·  Document and update job status in the company database
·  Attend training sessions and weekly team meetings on new products, installation methodology and safety
·  Perform other related duties, as assigned

Desired profile

Requirements

·  Minimum 1-3 years’ relevant electrical experience
·  Understanding of NEC codes
·  Ability to lift 50 lbs.
·  Ability to work in extreme environments (example: hot sun, cold, crawl spaces, etc.)
·  Position may require working at heights including on rooftops, climbing ladders and stairs
·  Capable of performing repetitious duties, including lifting, bending and standing for long periods of time
·  Experience using hand and power tools
·  Basic computer skills
·  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
·  Must have excellent customer service skills
·  Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success

** Will work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Electrician in states where an electrical licensed is required to perform the electrical work.
