THE ROLE

Our Delivery Supervisors are responsible for delivering an exceptional experience to our customers, developing employees, and managing day-to-day local delivery logistics. The Delivery Supervisor, Vehicle Prep leads and develops the detail and quality teams to ensure all cars are prepared, detailed and inspected for delivery. They coordinate the flow and priority of vehicles, adapt quickly to changes in business need, and contribute to delivering excellent results in terms of vehicle detail and quality standards. The ideal candidate has the technical acumen to be able to communicate effectively with internal teams, excellent time management abilities and is passionate about leading change and inspiring teams. This role directly supports Tesla’s mission by ensuring an exceptional and memorable buying experience for our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Lead delivery vehicle preparation team of Vehicle Assistants, Detailers and Vehicle Coordinators.
·  Actively set individual and team targets and actively train, coach, and develop them
·  Assist in the planning, implementation, and follow up of vehicle prep operational tasks and projects including, but not limited to: vehicle movement coordination in vehicle lots and delivery bays, delivery schedule monitoring, vehicle repairs, detailer performance, lot organization and maintenance, and coordinator support
·  Maintain detailing and logistics supplies to ensure workflow is not delayed
·  Ensuring detail team remains on pace and consistent with Tesla quality standards
·  Work collaboratively with other departments, particularly Customer Experience, Delivery Operations, and Service
·  Represent Tesla in a professional and responsible manner when communicating with others both inside and outside the company 

·  Proactively mediate and resolve any customer concerns regarding vehicle preparation and quality
·  Maintain constant focus on improving the Tesla delivery experience
·  Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs

Desired profile

REQUIREMENTS

·  Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience with evidence of exceptional ability
·  Prior leadership experience in a service-focused industry; automotive expertise is not required
·  Experience leading teams and managing a diverse group of roles and responsibilities
·  Strong and proven experience leading field, technical repair or manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment with strong customer facing responsibilities
·  Experience running complex processes using Lean or other techniques
·  Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and adhere to business-critical deadlines
·  Proven ability to problem solve and achieve results
·  Must have an maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable and safe driving record
