Welding Engineer

At TechnipFMC, we deliver critical projects of a scale, scope and difficulty that you simply won’t find anywhere else. We are looking for an experient Welding Engineer who can join our multicultural team.

Activities include but are not limited to:
·  Maintain awareness on the main international standards and GROUP’s guidance and procedures and ensure the proposed solutions are in full compliance with them;
·  Create and maintain the link between EPCI-SAM and other teams within the GROUP (main relevant ones for the discipline are RP&IT, PPT and PPG), seek for advice and input whenever required and / or during challenging proposals / projects;
·  Mentoring and development of Jr Engineers in the scope of Welding & NDT activities;
·  Generate ideas and templates to improve team efficiency and interfaces;
·  Review peers work whenever required;
·  Identify risks and opportunities for the proposed solutions;
·  Consolidate local experience in the discipline (project reports, R&D proposals,…);
·  Promote TechnipFMC’s engineering excellence through publications (whenever possible or required) and industry locally;
·  Exchange experiences and lessons learned through the team locally and globally (whenever needed / required);
·  Build network through the industry and remain conversant about the latest developments;
·  Remain conversant about the latest standards and CLIENT specifications updates.
You are meant for this job if
·  Degree in Engineering;
·  Advanced/Fluente English;
·  Good understanding of subsea engineering;
·  Deep knowledge and participated of different pipelines and subsea projects including welding techniques, WPQT (V and J bevel mechanized equipment, p-GMAW, p-GTAW, g-FCAW, WOL, etc), DNV-ST-F101 requirements including selection and application technology;
·  Deep knowledge of main project codes as AWS D1.1, API 6A, Nace MR175, API 1104, DNV-ST-F101 and others;
·  Deep knowledge of forged material, elaboration/review of Technical Specifications, material certificates review, etc;
·  Deep knowledge of induction bending process, qualification required by DNV-ST-F101, Mechanical Tests, etc;
·  Deep knowledge of submerged equipment (Structural) as Suction Piles, PLET, PLEM, Manifold, XTs, Chains, Jumpers, closing spools, etc, including elaboration of technical specifications, inspections on field and fabrication expediting activities.
·  Previous experience as the technical responsible / focal point for discipline for complex / big projects with different operators;
·  Hands on experience (onsite exposition during WPQT, Structural and pipeline fabrication and installation);
