Metering Engineer ā multiphase metering

MPM is a division of TechnipFMC based in Stavanger. We are world leading within our business segment and have an organization of enthusiastic and skilled people, covering a wide variety of disciplines. MPM makes the most sophisticated and accurate multiphase flow meters for the oil and gas industry. MPM's unique and patented technology and products have been developed in close co-operation with major Oil Companies.
For our Metering and Systems group we are currently looking for a Metering Engineer.
MAIN TASKS
Ā· Participate in R&D work within multiphase metering technology.
Ā· Algorithm development, simulation and analysis of field and test loop data.
Ā· Develop test setups and prototypes and perform tests in our own on-site flow loop laboratory, as well as and in external flow loops and field installations.
Ā· Follow up and support on metering issues towards
Ā· MPM field support engineers (second line support)
Ā· customers
Ā· internal production and test
Ā· delivery projects
Ā· Planning and execution of field tests, writing of test reports.
RECOMMENDED EXPERIENCE AND FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Ā· Master's degree within digital signal processing, cybernetics, applied physics, mathematics or similar areas.
Ā· Strong ability in technical programming languages such as Matlab, C++.
Ā· Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English (oral and written).
Ā· Experience from oil and gas industry, particularly multiphase metering, upstream processing or well testing.
Preferred:
Ā· Fluent in oral Norwegian.
