Introduction:

The main tasks for our new team member will be HW/System development for our new generation of All-Electric Control System which will be utilizing only electrical technology throughout the complete system. This development program incorporates development of electronics for SIL certified logic solvers, motor controllers and battery managements products.

The position requires close collaboration with the SW and mechatronics departments during development and qualification of the electronics products. Close interaction with the internal product manufacturing department and external electronics manufacturer will also be part of the responsibility for the position.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for performing product development according to HW developer role in the New Product Development process, LWI60059727

Establish design concepts and conduct detailed design

Create, review and approve detailed design documents.

Perform development activities according to defined development project scope.

Approve or reject detailed design solutions in internal projects or outsourced development projects.

Approve and maintain the product BOM during the development project.

Job Main Challenges:

· Knowledge in analogue, digital electronics and low level software/firmware?
· Capable of solving complex technical issues
· Knowledgeable in establishing new products
· Knowledgeable in understanding of schematic drawings
· Capable to perform product engineering for new products
· Competency to establish test setups for debugging of HW-SW co-operation related issues.
· Competency in use of advanced lab instrumentation (data acquisition tools, oscilloscopes, logic analysers, spectrum analyser, power analysers, counters, IR tools)

Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

Main accountabilities

· Establish component, product and subsystem design specifications
· Perform detailed design and conduct functional verification
· Execute qualification programs on product and system level including functional, environmental, system operation mode, EMC, ALT type of tests.
· Maintain existing generations of HW in Subsea Control Systems
· Conduct feasibility studies for implementation of new products
· Specify and perform qualification of manufacturing test systems at EMS vendors
· Perform evaluation of new customer requirements affecting CS power, communication, network, interface, processor and interconnect products and support PREs in tender.
· Assist in the standardisation of products
· Cooperate with different regions and co-workers all over the World
· Support the TechnipFMC service organization on a need to need basis.

Profile requirements:

Main requirements

· BSc minimum or MSc
· Knowledge in design of digital systems utilizing FPGA/SOC, Microprocessors/Microcontrollers/ASICS
· Knowledge in IP-technology, network, protocols
· Knowledge in Sensor Networks (CANBUS, Serial interfaces)
· Knowledge in electrical/electronic components used in design of power supplies (AC-DC, DC-DC, UPS), power switches, power line modems, processor modules, network modules, SoC designs, serial interfaces (4-20mA, RS-4XX, CANBUS)
· Experience with design of electrical/electronic boards and assemblies for use in control system products such as power supplies, power switches, power line modems, sensor networks, processor modules, network modules, interface boards and interconnect solutions.
· Knowledge in design of power feeding systems, power line communication systems, data networks, data acquisition and condition monitoring subsystems.
· Experience in development of low level software and firmware for custom HW.
· Experience in use of EDA tools (ALTIUM, CADSTAR) for schematic entry and analogue/digital simulation and design verification.
· Knowledge in use of EDA tools (MATLAB, SIMULINK, etc) for behavioural simulations for design solutions
· Knowledge in use of EDA tools (MATLAB, PSPICE, SIMULINK, LABVIEW) for mixed signal simulation.
· Knowledge in design of power electronics including high power driver stages, control loop design, battery management
· Knowledge in design, qualification, manufacturing of electronic boards, assemblies for high reliability systems
· Knowledge in design of controller electronics to be used as logic solvers for certification to SIL1/2/3 in safety applications.
