Job Description Summary

This position is for a New college graduate interested in position responsible for the specification of materials, coatings and insulation materials for static and rotating equipment for petrochemical and refining projects worldwide as part of TechnipFMC's Process Technology group based out of Houston, TX. We are seeking motivated, creative, quality focused applicants for the following.
Job Duties:
• Review client specifications or develop project specifications from standard specifications for use on projects
• Develop Materials Selection Philosophy for projects
• Develop Material Selection Diagrams for projects
• Develop various specifications related to fabrication such as welding, positive material identification, coatings, insulation and fireproofing.
• Review materials specified in process data sheets
• Develop inspection requirements for equipment
• Develop vendor document requirements for equipment
• Review Material / Mill Test Reports (MTR) for equipment and verify conformance with the material specification.
• Ensure conformance to applicable government regulations, engineering codes and standards as well as company QA system, policies and procedures
• Provides engineering support by answering technical questions and requests from various disciplines.
• Ability to proactively and positively accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously.

Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:
-Minimum of a BSME from an accredited university with a recognized Materials / Metallurgical Engineering program is required.

-EIT certification or the ability to complete EIT certification is required.

-Must have a good understanding of Metallurgy and corrosion.
