Scope and Responsibilities

TechnipFMC uses Smart Materials (software from Hexagon -former Intergraph- based on Oracle) to manage materials on all its onshore and offshore business projects. This system covers the workflows used in Engineering, Procurement/Expediting, Traffic and Construction in the various Technip operating centers and is supported by a team based in Paris.

The apprentice position is to develop his competences to support and improve Smart Materials and its interfaces with the other applications. The apprentice will ensure that the system works as expected with satisfactory performance and will extend and create facilities to the system to satisfy new requirements expressed by business projects.

This apprentice will have to:

·  Liaise with IT Operations like DBAs and Hexagon to solve the problems,
·  Develop and maintain customizations based on ORACLE 12 PL/SQL (stored procedures), Forms and Reports,
·  Analyze problems reported by first level support and provide solutions to the problems,
·  Discuss with Departments, Operating centers or projects to understand new requirements and prepare solutions,
·  Ensure that the system follows TechnipFMC IT rules and procedures,
·  Maintain and develop the technical documentation

Profile :

This position requires:

·  Knowledge of ORACLE PL/SQL, Forms, Report and of technologies like JAVA, .NET and APEX.
·  Motivated to learn the work processes in Engineering, Procurement/Expediting, Traffic and Construction.

Since this position is meant to satisfy the needs of business projects, the candidate must know how to work easily with others in a multi-cultural environment, be motivated, reactive, fully reliable and be fluent in English.
