Who are we looking for?

QUALIFICATIONS

·  High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
·  Minimum of 6 months of experience working in a chemical manufacturing warehouse environment with hazardous materials

Eligibility Requirements:

·  Willing and able to work an afternoon shift
·  Willing and able to work overtime as needed and required
·  Willing and able to drive a fork truck and pass certification

Desired Characteristics:

·  Associate Degree (two-year college or technical school)
·  Minimum of 2 years' experience with hazardous materials
·  Minimum of 1-year analytical testing experience
·  Prior fork truck driving experience is desired
·  Working knowledge of SAP
·  Excellent communication and documentation skills
·  Attention to detail and strong math skills
·  Strong computer skills
·  Team player, individual thinker
·  Customer focused; positive attitude

What will you be doing?

SUMMARY

Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling,addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

Essential Functions:

·  Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
·  Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
·  Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
·  Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and record-keeping purposes.
·  Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
·  Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications.
·  Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
·  Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
·  Compute amounts, such as space available, and shipping, storage, and demurrage charges, using calculator or price list.
·  Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools, power tools, and postage meter.
·  Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
·  Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
·  Support all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs, policies, and regulations.
·  Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
·  Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, supply rooms, or other areas.
·  Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
·  Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
·  Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
·  Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.
·  This list is not all-inclusive and may include other duties as assigned and necessary for the operation and management of the site.
