Description :

The Environmental Health & Safety Technician will coordinate the activities of the site in regards to EHS, ensuring that Production, Maintenance and other shop floor activities are harmonized with EHS and Compliance guidelines.Assists in Regeneration and Maintenance activities as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

·Provide EHS input to Site Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager and Plant Manager.

·Provide leadership, technical support, training, and project management for the development of plant-wide environmental, health, and safety programs.

·Assure interface and integration between assigned business teams, medical center, and business-level EHS group.

·Interact with diverse teams of production/maintenance and management employees. Build positive relationships with all team members.

·Integrate safety and care for employee health and safety, as well as the environment, into all aspects of managing the business.

·Assist with the development and execution of EHS annual plans as well as framework validations.

·Provide technical resources, EHS data analysis, and interpretation of regulations.

·Assists with Regeneration and Maintenance activities on the shop floor as needed.

·Works closely with Element owners to become knowledgeable and guide shop floor activities harmonizing EHS and compliance.

·Creates, writes and reviews SRA's. Educates employees on SRA's and procedures prior to commencing work.

·Audit for compliance to regulatory and company requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements:

·High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

·At least 2 years of recent professional work experience in an EHS Role.

·At least one year of experience with manufacturing environments, lean manufacturing, and six sigma

·Established program management ability

·Work experience at a VPP star worksite

·Strong analytical skills including advanced Root Cause determination skills

·Powered Industrial Truck Training experience

·Knowledge of environmental regulations

·Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations

·Prior experience in process / industrial engineering
