 POSTING PRESENTATION:

Nowadays power modules play a key role in traction inverters for vehicle electrification applications. The harsh automotive operating environment is a big challenge for that device.
This highlights the challenges for power modules usage in electrified vehicles (xEVs), emphasizing the importance of having a design verification environment for such application to ensure the reliable operation under all conditions.
In order to better face this challenge, a new laboratory is being born that is capable to optimize the current validation and characterization of our products.

 

PROFILE REQUIRED:

·    As Embedded Software Engineer, after the needed training (courses and on the job), you will be responsible for the development, validation, and delivery of the embedded application software, on the ST logic board, which will have all the functionality necessary to verify and characterize the power module under difficult conditions, including the full interaction with static and emulated dynamics load and battery simulator and associated power electronics devices.
Main Tasks:
# Excellent understanding of low-level hardware/software interaction and designing, developing and debugging software for real-time embedded systems using C, C++
# Definition of product architecture
# Define SW requirements and SW architecture
# Configure operating system, diagnostic and communication services
# Development of device system solution with embedded firmware and algorithms for our systems
# Development of device drivers in real time automotive applications
# Work closely with Hardware, design engineers to solve cross-functional design issues.
# Responsible for the maintenance of current firmware/software systems
# Provide technical documentation
# Technical interface with other internal groups
The ideal candidate has an Electronics/Electric/Mechatronics engineering background, and he/she has embedded system knowledge, firmware and software development experience.
Skills:
# Experience in firmware development (C, C++) for embedded applications running on microcontroller.
# Good knowledge of microcontrollers
# Good knowledge of Matlab/Simulink
# Good knowledge in reading HW schematic
# Good knowledge of the main wired automotive communication protocols
# Knowledge of power management architecture for embedded systems
# Knowledge of analog electronics
# Good knowledge of electronic measurements, instrument (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
Intensive commitment and motivation, high efficacy, objective orientation, sense of responsibility are all essential requirements.
