Simplon.co is a rapidly growing and resolute social and solidarity economy scale-up committed to inclusive and united digital technology, in France and internationally.


Labeled "French Tech", "La France s'Engage" and larger and more inclusive of the networks labeled by the State "Grande Ecole du Numérique", Simplon.co is a solidarity company of social utility (ESUS) founded in 2013, whose core business is:

● sourcing of sub-represented profiles in this sector (job seekers, non-graduates, priority neighborhoods, rural areas, retraining employees, refugees, with a goal of gender parity),

● training them in web / mobile development and jobs in digital tension (Artificial Intelligence, IOT, CyberSecurity, etc.),

● support and placement in employment or business creation for learners,

● the development of training for companies for their employees,

Our training courses are intensive and free for learners. Simplon has trained more than 8,000 people since its creation, ¼ of them outside France.

Today already present in nearly 100 locations in France and internationally. Simplon.co is continuing its rapid development in France and internationally, via a network of partners or on its own. Apart from France, Simplon is present in 4 European countries, around 15 African countries and in India, including 2 subsidiaries abroad and a very recently created representative office. In its development, Simplon is most often backed by major clients (companies, governments, development agencies, etc.).





CONTEXT

In order to support the strong development of Simplon, both in France and internationally, the administrative and financial function is being structured.

In this context, the main projects and challenges are as follows:


• Deployment of an ERP and internalization of the accounting currently kept in various systems and partly by an accounting firm


• Strengthening of management control and strategic planning


• Cash flow management in the context of the economic crisis


• Structuring of international activities


• Management of the administrative monitoring of public subsidies


• Establishment of a purchasing process


• Strengthening of sales administration

Simplon's current scope includes several entities including Simplon S.A.S. but also a subsidiary in France, 2 subsidiaries abroad, an endowment fund and a (very recent) association.

The finance team has very recently strengthened itself on these various subjects by recruiting several employees who have joined the team in recent weeks.



MISSION

The Financial Director having been entrusted with a large project in addition to her duties during the coming months, is looking for an deputy to supervise the activities of:

 Production of financial statements and monthly reporting as well as its improvement pending the migration of the ERP

 Revisions to forecasts (and preparation of Audit Committee communications) - every quarter

 Closing of the annual accounts as of August 31, 2020 and supervision of the external audit

 ERP deployment and accounting internalization (go-live early 2021)

Desired profile

YOUR EXPERIENCE

- 15 years of imperative experience in a similar function, in a Tech environment, within an impact company and / or in the field of vocational training.

- Strong financial, accounting, cash management and tax skills.

- Experience in change project management, including accounting system.

- Experience and proven ease in the management of a young team with experience and in a very changing context.

- Experience of an ultra-growth company

- Experience and taste for the position of Business partner: support for operational staff in their projects / development of financial culture

- International experience imperative

Your REMUNERATION on this position

Between 70 and 75K € + 5%
