Job description
Sprecher Grier Ltd in London’s City is seeking to appoint paralegal with an interest in the commercial real estate sector. The role will suit current part time LPC students or LPC graduates seeking full time work. The selected candidates will contribute to the capacity of their respective departments through performing a range of tasks including legal analysis, case progression, research, drafting, general case work and administrative duties.
This role is initially a 6 month contract and may particularly suit a future trainee who is keen to gain Real Estate experience before commencing their training contract. An excellent academic record is key, for example A’s and B’s at A-Level, a 2.1 from university and commendations/distinctions in the GDL/LPC.
Experience as a Real Estate Paralegal would be ideal, but applications are welcome from paralegals who have experience in any area of law who can demonstrate a keen interest in Real Estate, for example completing the elective on the LPC.
Job Specification
Assisting the department solicitors completing non-contentious work on a daily basis
Conducting legal research, background checks and application
Drafting correspondence
General administrative duties
Managing calls from Clients, Agents, Brokers and other parties in a professional and courteous manner
Preparing pre-contract packages and applying for relevant searches
Drafting letters / emails
Land Registry searches and applications
Other post exchange/pre-completion tasks
Post completion matters
Requesting redemption statements
Liaising with clients, referrers and lenders
Completing SDLT forms and registration applications at HMLR
Desired profile
