Job description
This position is within our Composite Materials global business unit and located in Anaheim, CA.
Responsibilities:
· Initiate and execute Resite activities in support of raw material changes for aerospace materials.
· Identify appropriate analytical test methods to characterize raw materials and determine impacts of changes to raw materials and finished goods.
· Lead and define testing programs that establish equivalency of raw materials or finished goods. Communicate support of those plans to technicians with focus on safety and quality.
· Understand resite qualification programs from definition of the qualification test program through execution and completion of the qualification for testing.
· Understand how changes impacting customers may require notification in accordance with aerospace and customer guidelines.
· Understand the role of raw material attributes, function, and chemical interactions in Solvay finished goods
· Explain to customers processing and properties of aerospace products, collaborating with Aerospace Resite, Site, and Field Technical Service engineers.
· Initiate and execute finished goods resites of product moves to equipment other than where the product was initially qualified.
· Foster relationships with Solvay Procurement, internal/external suppliers, and customers.
· Technical representative for supplier summits

Qualifications :
Qualifications required:
· BS Chemistry, BS Chemical Engineering, Master of Chemistry preferred
· Raw Material processing and equipment experience a plus
· Scientific knowledge of adhesives and composites raw material properties influences on finished goods.
· Experience working with vendors including: problem solving, technical presentations, project management, relationship building and technical conflict resolution.
· Good listening and communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
· Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
· Must set high quality standards and have a strong sense of urgency (action oriented). Takes initiative in solving complex technical and process problems.
· Good organization skills, ability to learn and manage multiple projects and commitments
Business and technical skills required
· Ability to establish good working relationships with aerospace staff at all levels of the organization and work in multi-functional teams.

· Basic to intermediate understanding of the composite industry, including resin families, fibers, test methods and statistics.
· Attention to detail required while compiling complex sampling plans, Statements of Work and Qualification Reports.
· Basic understanding of statistical analysis. Prefer Greenbelt or Blackbelt trained.
· Good understanding of mechanical test methods and interpretation of results.
· Advanced understanding of analytical test methods.
· Understanding of product and process capabilities issues with products in customer applications.
· Basic knowledge of Aerospace products and their applications preferred
