Missions.

The role of the product Stewardship team within SOLVAY is
· - To assess and manage the risks of our products throughout their life cycle as an integral part of our overall business strategy.
· - To provide our stakeholders with an optimum perspective between regulatory compliance and added value, compatible with Group policy and procedures.
The product stewardship team is the key provider of the “what the Company is allowed to do” when commercial products are manufactured and put on the market for different applications, that could be also regulated, with the appropriate level of resources. The compliance is communicated to our stakeholders under various documents and advices.

The missions of the nominated person are:
Manage the regulatory compliance required to put or maintain commercial products on the local market defined as follow:
- European Union
- Russia
- Middle-East
- Africa.
The commercial products are defined as part of a technology available in Novecare's portfolio.
This portfolio includes polymers surfactants, based on the ethoxylates, sufates, phosphates & sulfonates technologies.
Some projects and/or products could be coordinated at a WW level.

The four activities of the job are the following
- Manage the chemical composition,
- Assess and validate the compliance of the technology by country and/or zone, including the documentation in line with the applicable regulations,
- Answer customers' questions.
- Improve the delivery of documentation to our customers, especially standard documents, training, position papers… according to a good coordination with the other zones of Novecare.

Activities.

The main activities of the job are the following:
- Complete and follow the regulatory dossiers for all substances included in the technologies, from the raw materials to the final chemical composition of commercial products, including coordination of technical deliverables such as assessments of hazards, our uses, those of our customers and the risk management measures.
- Ensure the consistency between the information provided to customers such as chemical compositions and internal tools, especially SAP, in connection with the plants and the Regulatory Affairs teams based in the other zones.
- Estimate and follow the resources for the compilation of dossiers.
- Perform declarations to the relevant Authorities.
- Evaluate the classification of goods and oversee the drafting of safety data sheets by the SDS-writers.
- Interface with customers.
- Ensure the regulatory compliance of new product portfolios under integration.
- Communicate the specific challenges of this portfolio products within SOLVAY on potential changes in the regulations.
- Disseminate to our internal and / or external customers the regulatory alerts on the product portfolio by integrating and assessing potential risks.
- Train our main interlocutors on regulatory basics.
- Develop a strategic vision of this family of products to bring a sustainable support to the R&I teams.
- Anticipate any business impact on the current portfolio of the Business Unit of any regulatory new information.
- Be the representative of SOLVAY in professional associations, in line with our strategic markets and developments.

Position.

This position reports to the European Product Stewardship Manager, based in Aubervilliers.

Profil recherché

Qualifications :

Graduate, Chemical or generalist engineer.
Fisrt successful experience of five years in a regulatory position in a chemical Company, Surfactants or industrial.
Fluent English.

Technical competences.
- Chemistry of surfactants & polymers → Advanced level.
- REACH regulation and other zones → Advanced level.
- Regulated markets regulations in Europe dedicated to cosmetics & detergents → Essential level.
