Job description

The Process Control Engineer will be responsible for process controls including implementing, tuning, maintaining and troubleshooting process control loops, advanced applications, and associated operator interfaces. In addition, the position helps identify and develop new control schemes to increase process safety and profitability and participates actively in unit troubleshooting and new project support.
Responsibilities
· Maintain and modify existing process control applications and operator interface, including control valve and temperature control loop tuning
· Provide troubleshooting and process control support for a continuously operating plant
· Identify and install new applications and interfaces to increase process safety, operability, and profitability

Desired profile

Required qualifications
·  Bachelor's degree required (chemical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering preferred)
·  Knowledge of Honeywell (Experion) process control systems required

Preferred qualifications
·  Knowledge of Honeywell (TDC 3000) process control systems desired
·  Knowledge of chemical process and polymerization technologies, or refinery processing technologies
·  At least 3 years industry experience supporting plant operations as a process control engineer (applications engineer)
·  Knowledge of statistical process controls, Lean, and continuous improvement methods desired
·  PLC experience is an asset
