TRAINEE: Exotic Trade Support – Equity & Hybrid Derivatives

Trade Support's mission is to ensure all new trades and life cycle events are correctly reflected in the relevant IT systems / database:

·  For Front Office to have a clear and accurate view of their positions and risks
·  For Operations to ensure smooth settlement for all trades
·  For Finance to compute economic and accounting PnL in due time As the 1st link in the Operations chain, Trade Support is also the 1st level of control of the business.

Mission


Main Responsibilities

·  Product scope: Exotic Equity and Hybrid derivatives. Products including equity linked notes, share accumulators, auto-callable and other exotic payoffs
·  Trade capture / Modelling of exotic products and deals in the in-house information systems
·  Control of bookings based on documentation (term sheets, tickets) provided by front office
·  Pricing of exotic trades for accuracy check and provide indicative PnL impact
·  Ensure booking timeliness; provide justifications for any late bookings and amendments
·  Streamline booking workflow through automation and process review
·  Contribute to defining specifications and performing UAT for new information systems
·  Write down / update procedures linked to sensitive processes and controls

Desired profile

Profile

·  Hold a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar
·  Equity derivatives product knowledge (vanilla and exotic, payoff understanding, lifecycle events)
·  Strong and sharp analytical and problem solving skills
·  Accuracy, swiftness, ability to work under pressure in trading environment
·  Knowledge of VBA programming is an advantage
·  Enthusiastic team player
·  Result oriented, demonstrates strong drive to achieve result while well estimate risk of own actions
·  Change oriented with positive mindset
·  Excellent communication skills; required to work with various internal partners (Traders, Engineers, Sales, Other Middle Offices, Product Control teams, Back Offices, IT) in different regions (Asia, Europe, America)
·  Fluent English is compulsory
This is a fixed term 12 month Trainee contract with Societe Generale. You will form part of the team on a full time basis. In order to apply for the Trainee position please ensure you have completed your qualification and will be available to work full time for the duration of the Trainee contract.
