Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

· 
Proactively work with various DCS Teams to support Information Security requirements

· 
Produce and maintain the security metrics and reports for multiple audiences (e.g., IT, COO)

· 
Support application security initiatives and remediation activities

· 
Educate and raise awareness of SG AMER employees of their roles and responsibilities to safeguard and protect SG corporate and client information

· 
The primary Training and Awareness responsibilities of the intern will include:

· 
Streamlining collection and dissemination of Training and Awareness metrics

· 
Participating in awareness events and building awareness campaigns

· 
Assisting with report creation and presentation of training and awareness reports

Profile Required

TECHNICAL SKILLS

· 
Understanding of HTTP, web programming, scripting and relational databases

· 
Basic understanding of Information Security standards, frameworks and best practices (e.g. OWASP, ITIL, CoBIT, NIST, FFIEC)

· 
Excel and PowerBI skills are highly valued

· 
Web development skills, knowledge about SharePoint, Python are a plus

COMPETENCIES

·  Good analytical skills, highly motivated, competitive, entrepreneurial and attracted to challenging opportunities
·  Ability to do independent research and summarize findings
· 
Demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment where organizational skills are essential

· 
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint presentations

· 
Possess excellent collaboration skills with a wide variety of internal and external teams

· 
Possess strong written, verbal and presentation skills

EDUCATION

· 
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or relevant technical field

· 
Knowledge of Information Security

· 
Fundamental understanding of communications technologies: email, FTP, Web

· 
Information Security, Risk, and/or IT certifications a plus

Business Insight

The Information Security Intern(s) will work side-by-side with the DCS heads in the Americas region in a variety of functions, such as Identity and Access Management (IAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Application Security, Cyber Threat Defense, Third Party Risk Management, Cyber Security Awareness Training, and Security Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC). In addition, the InfoSec Intern(s) will provide project management support for various InfoSec projects. The ideal candidate(s) will be proficient in MS Office as well as programming languages to support automation initiatives.
