Societe Generale Group is present in 11 countries in Asia Pacific offering financial services and solutions with a main focus on Corporate & Investment Banking, Trade Finance and Brokerage services but also providing Securities Services, Global Transaction Banking services as well as Commercial Banking services.

As VIE, you will have the opportunity to join the Inspection General and Audit division. Audit's main objective is to protect the bank's clients and its stakeholders by assessing the conformity of the bank's operations in respect to internal policies and procedures and in-line with regulatory requirements, and to evaluate the level of residual risk incurred. In case residual risk levels are not acceptable, Audit will issue recommendations and follow them up until implementation.

Information systems and technologies are critical resources to SG and strategic to support the digital transformation of the Group. Within the regional Audit team, our team of 8 IS auditors based in Hong Kong is responsible for the internal audit of SG information systems and technologies across Asia.

You will be involved in various audit assignments within the Asia region. Under the responsibility of a head of mission, your main tasks will be to identify IT related risks (alignment of IT with the business strategy, application development lifecycle, IS project management, IS architecture and urbanization, Information system security, data backup and business continuity, etc), to review the controls in place, and to provide recommendations to bring down risk to an acceptable level.

Mission

Your role

As part of the team in charge of the audit mission, you will be involved in all stages of an audit assignment from the initial diagnosis, through the control to the writing of the report and oral restitution. Your main activities will be to

·  Analyze an IS department, a team, an application or a project to understand the inherent risks and identify the control associated with the activity under review
·  Gather required and relevant data for the mission and prepare data analysis in compliance with confidentiality and ethic rules
·  Perform controls applying the internal audit methodology of Societe Generale Group which is derived from IIA standards
·  Assess the residual risks and investigate the root cause of any material issues in order to define areas of improvement and formulate relevant recommendations
·  Handle the relationship with the audited entities staff with empathy and diplomacy while remaining independent and objective
·  Report and escalate issue to the Head of Mission or to management
·  Follow up the implementation of audit recommendations

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in Hong Kong is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com .

Your profile

You are graduated with a Master degree from Engineering or Business School or University with a secialization in Information System.

Ideally you have past experience in in a major bank or in IS audit (external or internal), or in an Information system department (production, software, development, projects, etc.) ideally involving the use of English.

You are fluent in English.

Intermediate in other Asian languages is a plus.

You are proficient in Microsoft Office application (Excel, powerpoint).

Knowledge of software used for data analytics like ACL, IDEA, TABLEAU, SPOTFIRE, EXCEL is a plus.
