Your Environment
Working for the General Management of the bank, Societe Generale General Inspection Department carries out consulting and auditing services for all of Societe Generale's French and worldwide activities. Under the responsibility of the General Inspector, it comprises, besides the principal inspectors who participate in the management of the service, nearly 140 inspectors and support teams dedicated to the optimal pursuit of their high value-added tasks.
Your Role
Throughout their career within General Inspection, inspectors participate in assignments in France and abroad:
To evaluate the Group's activities:
In the context of its auditing and consulting assignments, General Inspection Department evaluates all aspects of the organisation, operations and activities of the Group. Its role is vital in keeping decision-making bodies informed:
- by giving an assessment of risk management within the company;
- by constituting a proposition force for the development of the group's activities in the short, medium, and long term.
To participate in the Group's strategic projects:
General Inspection Department is regularly involved in examining major strategic projects for the Societe Generale group:
- evaluations of acquisition targets in France and abroad;
- preliminary studies for large-scale projects;
- internal restructuring, etc.
To offer high value recommendations to Top Management:
Each assignment calls for a written report to the General Management in which you must formulate clear and well-founded judgement on different aspects of the given activity and on the actions of the main persons responsible. Thus, your efficiency within the General Inspection Department depends on your capacity to internalise the group's business in order to make your own judgement, to suggest strategic positions and operational recommendations, as well as your oral and written abilities.
Your Profile
Your have an engineering, business or political science background, a post-graduate qualification or an advanced master's degree from a French or international institution. You have just started your career, are a recent graduate or are about to graduate.
You are analytical, technical, accurate, flexible, mobile and open-minded and you have a sense of responsibility and summarising skills. Fluency in English or French is required, another language will be appreciated.
