Environment
At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Finance division of Global Banking & Investors Solutions (GBIS), one of the three pillars of SG that brings together Corporate and Investment Banking activities, Private Banking activities, Asset Management and Investor Services. This division oversees the quality and delivery of financial statements for GBIS, the independent certification of financial data for various activities, and also provides day-to-day explanations on profit and loss for market activities.
DFIN plays an important role in the finance department, steering the business development by providing business performance monitoring and recommendation, its main functions include accounting production, financial reporting, business performance reporting and review, budget production and monitoring, asset and liability management, tax and expenses production and risk control.
Mission
During your VIE mission you will be in charge of these responsibilities:
- Production: safeguard the accounting norms in daily production and new product/projects setup process
- Financial Reporting: Prepare group reporting packages, local regulatory reporting returns and management reporting.
- Project and new product: Be involved in new products and projects impact analysis and take charge of projects related to dedicated processes.
- Tax and expense: Work with tax and expense manager to analyze relevant impact on business and be involved in relevant transversal task when deemed necessary.
- Process and procedures: Regular review process and procedures to carter new business requests, improve operational efficiency, optimize process and ensure risk controls and regulation compliance.
- Risk and Quality Control: As first level risk controller in owned process, proactively work with Financial Control Officer to perform risk control work, cooperate with internal or external inspection under request.
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Beijing is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 24 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France’s eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com.
Profile
You are graduated with a Master degree from Engineering or Business School or University with a specialization in Accounting, Financing, Auditin or Economic
Ideally you have past experience in Finance area
You are fluent in English.
Master of mandarin is a plus
You have Audit and accounting basic skills and Banking product knowledge
You are proficient in Microsoft Office application (Excel, powerpoint)
