Responsibilities

The RISQ Division's mission is to contribute to the sustainable and predictable growth of the SG Group by overseeing and independently challenging the objectives and strategies of the Business Lines. RISQ's mission is to independently analyze, challenge, opine and monitor on the risk-taking activities of the Business Lines in order to get to the best possible outcome for the Bank. The RISQ division in the US supports all the activities in the Americas Region (US, Canada and Latin America), which is almost exclusively SGCIB-oriented.

Within the RISQ Division, the Enterprise Risk Management department has the following remit, across all risk types to which SG's Americas operations (SG AMER) are exposed:

·  Coordinate risk analysis reporting to risk committees, including SG's Enterprise Risk Committee, Executive Committee's Risk Committee, and SG's Board of Directors Risk Committee;
·  Establish, and monitor adherence to, Risk Appetite Statements for SG AMER and its business lines;
·  Coordinate and enhance SG AMER's risk identification and assessment framework, and conduct periodic risk identification and assessment campaigns;
·  Coordinate and enhance SG AMER's stress testing framework, and conduct periodic stress testing exercises;
·  Coordinate the Permanent Control framework in SG AMER;
·  Organize and monitor SG AMER's risk management framework, risk committees, and roles and responsibilities for all lines of defense;
·  Oversee SG AMER's policies and procedures; and
·  Contribute to the development and usage of a “Governance, Risk and Compliance” information system architecture across SG AMER.

The Risk Data & Analytics (“D&A”) team is a functional group that gathers in Montreal under a common mandate and direction members of several different teams based in New York. The mission statement and mandate of the D&A team is to:

·  on behalf of users, conceive and ensure implementation of a RISQ IT infrastructure and data strategy that is lean, coherent and impactful for users;
·  conceive and implement, or ensure implementation of, interfaces between the users of the data and the data; understand the needs and requirements of the RISQ team to be able to be an effective second line of defense;
·  produce and contribute to the production of automated reports; and
·  work to ensure data quality, timeliness, availability and integrity (and help in SG Americas' efforts to comply with BCBS 239).

Profile Required

The Enterprise Risk Management Officer / Data & Analytics Coordinator is:

·  A member of Société Générale's Enterprise Risk Management department for the Americas region, reporting to the Head of the Governance team within that department (located in New York), and
·  The coordinator of the Risk Data & Analytics team (located in Montreal) reporting functionally to the Senior Risk Analyst & Data Officer.

Roles and responsibilities are laid out as follows:

·  Enterprise Risk Management Governance and Architecture:
·  Development, update, discussion and socialization of various enterprise risk management governance policies and documents, such as the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, ensuring their alignment with applicable regulations and SG Group documents.
·  Oversight and management of SG AMER's policies and procedures, ensuring that they are fully compliant to SG AMER ‘s policy on policies.
·  Participation to the conception and roll-out of the enterprise-wide risk data architecture within the “Governance, Risk & Compliance” (“GRC”) framework.
·  Elaboration of user requirements, interaction with business analysts and developers.
·  Performance of User Acceptance Tests (UAT) for elements of the GRC framework.
·  Implementation and roll-out of user data and analytics solutions and reporting.
·  As a member of the Risk Data & Analytics team:
·  Assist in the implementation of the strategy and roadmap designed by the Senior Risk Analyst & Data Officer related to the RISQ IT infrastructure and data
·  Work closely with other members of the Risk D&A team and the technology function to enhance data accuracy, integrity, timeliness and adaptability
·  In partnership with the Digital Transformation and Data Management officers, improve the efficiency of risk monitoring and enhance analytics through automation and digitalization
·  As the coordinator of the Risk Data & Analytics team:
·  Provide day-to-day supervision and guidance for the other members of the Risk D&A team.
·  Coordinate when required with the hierarchical managers of the respective teams in NY (evaluations, objectives setting), and with the Senior Risk Analyst & Data Officer to whom s/he reports functionally, as well as to the Head of RISQ in Montreal.
·  Be a member of the RISQ Exco in Montreal.

Qualifications (Experience, Education, Languages):

6+ years in the banking industry, preferably in a risk or compliance environment

Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred

English and French speaking
