Mission
Description of the Business Line or Department
The Asset and Liability Management (ALM) department operates within SGIL which offers clearing and execution services to customers. ALM is in charge of managing both liquidity, interest rate and currency risk arising from SGIL activity.
SGIL is a classified as a Limited Investment Firm incorporated in the UK and as such, is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
SGIL does not deal with, or for, Retail Clients (as defined by the 2004/39/EC Directive on markets in financial instruments). SGIL is a Swap Dealer registered with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the National Futures Association.
Summary of the key purposes of the role
• Monitoring of SGIL ALM key metrics, modelling ALM gap and follow liquidity STT.
• Work with many teams/functions (ALM, DFin, RISQ) to assess issues, quantify their impact and provide suggestions for remediation
• Provide a support to treasury team in term of Liquidity management
• Ensure that the policies and procedure are updated on the regular basis
Summary of responsibilities
• Monitor and report ALM indicators (Gaps, sensitivities, etc…) versus granted limits and propose hedging if necessary
• Monitor and analyse funding needs and treasury position by supporting ALM team in the daily Sources and Uses report and Liquidity Stress tests if dedicated members of the team who produce the reports are absent;
• Provide Management and business partners with ad-hoc liquidity analysis and forecasts;

Profile
Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering school or University, majoring in Finance.
A previous experience in Investment Banking would be appreciated.
You are fluent in English.
You are proficient in Office application.
Competencies
• Knowledge of interest rate risk and liquidity risk management ;
• Sound numerical ability skills;
• Knowledge of Kondor+ is a plus;
• Analytical skills;
• Knowledge of market practices in dealing;
• Knowledge of Brokerage activity is a plus
• Knowledge of liquidity and market risk metrics.
• IT Knowledges is a plus
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in London is to begin as soon as possible but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information, please see www.civiweb.com .
