Solution Architect - Middle East – Qatar

The Mission:

We are looking for Certified MDM (Meter Data Management) solution specialist with hands-on project experience and strong software development capability.

What are my responsibilities?

· 
Configuration and Implementation of MDM (Meter Data Management) project.

· 
Capable of initiating and managing detailed technical analysis of extensive, multi-layered systems

· 
Performs evaluation of Engineering issues and constraints, defining cross Engineering, and Sub-contract support needed to provide solutions to these major Engineering challenges

· 
Support in AMI (Advanced Meter Reading) operations, exception handling and troubleshooting related to MDM solution.

· 
Support in Interface development with other applications such as CIS, GIS and OMS (Outage Management System) etc.

· 
Design and realization of core components of the new architecture

· 
Strategic development of internal and external APIs

· 
Developing multi-threaded and asynchronous applications.

· 
Actively scout and identify new technologies for use within the architecture and platform

· 
Develop prototypes for internal review and brainstorming

· 
Realize architectural feasibility studies

· 
Determines most appropriate technical, product and commercial solutions within the given geographical and technical environment

· 
Ensure innovation and value engineering is applied to all proposals

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· 
6+ years of experience in the design and implementation of enterprise applications with 3+ years of experience as an architect (certification as software architect is an advantage).

· 
3+ years of experience in software engineering in various frameworks and languages (e.g., Java, NodeJS, jQuery, AngularJS, Python).

· 
Expertise on MDM Solution

· 
Sound Functional Knowledge of Siemens EnergyIP Platform

· 
Certification on Siemens EnergyIP MDM (Meter Data Management System) is preferred.

· 
Hands-On EnergyIP MDM solution configuration Experience in Projects is preferred

· 
Domain experience in either electricity, gas or water utilities industries.

· 
Expertise on Software Development:

Knowledge on one or more of the following:

· 
Strong knowledge of Java, Spring, Spring MVC and Spring Web flow Hibernate / JPA Real Time Streaming Platform, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark etc.

· 
Strong Knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL

· 
Strong Knowledge PL/SQL, working knowledge on PostgreSQL and Apache Cassandra, Mongo DB etc.

· 
Knowledge of tools Ant and/or Maven and Amazon Web Services (is a plus)

· 
Knowledge of Logstash, Microsoft System Center or Nagios

· 
Good Source control management: usage and set up (ex: Git, SVN, Stash)

· 
Knowledge of Message Bus Technology, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ

· 
Knowledge on MQTT, AMQP (Protocols).

· 
Knowledge on Mobile Technologies: Android SDK, IOS (Objective-C), Windows Phone Platform, Cross Platform Framework, Ionic and Cordova

· 
Extensive knowledge in architecture as well as design principles and patterns

· 
Strong analytical capabilities
