We are looking for a talented entry level software developer to join our technical team at the Wilsonville research & development site of Mentor, A Siemens Business. We develop leading-edge chip design software that is used by some of the world’s largest technology companies. At Mentor, we develop custom software to solve problems in circuit verification, design automation, and other specialized fields within the semiconductor industry. Solutions are found through approaches such as machine learning, statistical analysis, and advanced (and patented!) techniques. You will be working at the cutting edge of software development with industry-leading customers at one of the largest companies in the world. 
 
This position will initially be part of our US college hire program where participants participate with peers in activities and additional training, both leadership and technical. 
 
Job Duties: 

• Work with our top-notch technical team, here in Wilsonville and around the world, to ensure our leading electronic design automation software products evolve to meet the changing expectations of our customers.  
• Develop software to expand Mentor's Solido product line. 
• Specify, define, develop, and maintain a wide range of software components. 
• Collaborate directly with technology experts at major semiconductor companies to define, develop, and deliver new products and product features. 
• Collaborate effectively as part of an internationally distribute

BS or MS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering  
- Effective written and verbal communication skills 
- Prior industrial software development experience preferred 
- Experience in Python and/or C++ preferred 
- Experience with object orient design preferred 
- Experience with UX design considered a plus 
- Experience with adaptive algorithms or machine learning considered a plus 
- Participate in college hire program training, both leadership and technical
