What are my responsibilities?

QA / QC – Engineer assists Overall Site Management in its responsibility for quality management and quality controls applied to on-site erection and commissioning activities.

· Advising overall site manager and section managers (mechanical, electrical etc.) as well as site managers of consortium members and
on demand of overall site manager support to achieve the following:
· Realization of agreed Quality Management System on site (planning and performance of audits of consortium members) at project site including tracking of deviations / non-conformances detected as well as support for internal audits;
Planning and performance of supplier audits on site, tracking of deviations /
non-conformances identified and providing support for internal audits;
Administration of Corrective Action Reports (CAR) and Non Conformance Reports (NCR); Monitoring (advising) sub-suppliers (and consortium members) for compliance with quality management systems requirements; quality controls shall be carried out corresponding with released project specific field quality plans as well as dates for execution given by the relevant site managers. One area of emphasis shall be the performance and inspection of welds. Ensure information and experience feedback covering the QA / QC scope of responsibility;
· Reporting on QA / QC activities within the framework of weekly / monthly reporting by site management.
· Monitoring performance of weld inspections and non-destructive examinations
corresponding with released project specific field quality plans, and performance of further QC activities coordinated and agreed with Overall Site Management.
· Ensuring compliance with the requirements, regulations and procedures governing occupational health & safety and environmental protection within his or her own scope of responsibility.
· Coordinating and driving compilation of technical site documentation.
· Coordinating and monitoring document controlling of design documentation at the project site as well as setup and management of a site archive.
· Maintaining direct contact with the customer’s designated representative at the project site for the purpose of achieving immediate and non-bureaucratic clarification of general on - site problems of quality management.
· Coordination with third party organizations in acceptance testing.
· Coordination with respect to QA / QC of consortium members at the project site.
· Responsible for all aspects related to Project quality assurance and quality control.
· Preparation of the Project Specific Quality Plan, inspection and test plans, check-sheets and related procedures.
· Implementation of the Quality Management & Control program for the project.
· Daily site inspection and periodical offsite inspection.
· Controlling all inspection activities on site.
· Completion of necessary documentation to verify the work performed.
· Ensuring that inspection requests are implemented.
· Ensuring that all test reports are verified to meet the contract requirements.
· To ensure all materials delivered to site are inspected and conform to specified requirements.
· Issue and administer Non Conformance Reports as necessary and ensure follow up.
· Report to the Project Manager any deficiencies in the operation of Quality Management & Control System.
· Completion of final quality documentation in a presentable manner, in accordance with the conditions of contract.
· Responsible for overseeing/audits of subcontractor Quality Management systems.

What do I need to qualify for the job?

· Degree in any Engineering discipline.
· Have at least 2-3 years of relevant experience
· Proficient in MS Office and English language
