Job description

In the Siemens R&D Corporate Technology center we are focused on a complete development of the product including software, hardware and mechanical design, verification and validation. Results of our work are to be found in many Siemens products in the field of industrial and rail automation.

Opportunity to work on project: SIRIUS – every automated production line needs low voltage switching gear. This team works on implementation of innovative ideas into a manufacturing praxis in this area.

Your task will be

· to develop embedded software in area of industrial communication (e.g. PROFINET)
· implementation of source code for ARM microcontrollers (e.g. drivers, firmware update, application logic)
· software architecture design in cooperation with software architect
· communication with team members in the office and Germany
· to create development documentation

What we will appreciate from you

· university degree in software engineering or similar
· very good knowledge of C language
· knowledge of C++ language basics and OOP principles
· knowledge of software engineering principles from design to verification and validation
· experience with version control systems
