Job Description

The Mission:

This CW technical office engineer will be responsible for performing a proper work schedule, budget & cost comparison, BOQ & reporting directly to the Civil Works Project Manager while work is taking place. CW technical office engineer will also keep in close project specification and the contract agreement with the client and the subcontractors at all times.

What are my responsibilities?

·  Monitor progress against the project time schedule and budget, identifying and mitigating diverse trends through effective corrective management actions
·  Monitor and report project progress and status throughout the project lifecycle ensuring timely and accurate reports are prepared as required by the Client
·  Project Planning and progress analysis and reporting

· 
The ability to deal, review and check the design, drawings, BOQ, specification …etc.

· 
Preparing shop drawings and provide technical proposal for any technical situation/problem at site.

· 
Preparing letters, submittals, corresponding,…. To be submittal to client & consultant.

· 
Formulating the BOQ for different items and stages of the project.

· 
Creating the procurement request.

· 
Prepare and formatting the variation order showing the effective time and cost impact.

· 
Keep on Updating the Management on Civil Costs Planned Vs Actual.

· 
Coordination with civil designer & consultant to settle civil design and to expedite the approval.

· 
Provide the mile stones for main civil activities to be incorporated in project master schedule.

· 
Any discrepancy between monthly schedule and the progress at sites to be highlighted and find suitable solution to expedite the progress at site to be within or ahead the schedule.

· 
Deal with any activity or situation, could have a negative impact on the project, and determine the most constructible solution prior to and during the construction

· 
Support the civil team work to complete the projects (including the punch list, As-Built drawings, site acceptance test ……..etc) within the specific period as per contract plan.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

· 
Holding a BSc Civil Engineering

· 
First work experience in civil area, preferably in multinational companies

· 
Project Management certification (PMP…etc) is preferred.

· 
Solid references as technical office engineer of major projects preferably in Infrastructure/Civil, preferably in the transportation sector

· 
Working with Project Management Applications (PRIMAVERA ®, MS Project ® …etc)

· 
Excellent Command of English/Arabic

· 
Willingness to travel to the project site locations as necessary.
