Application Engineers for Wood Working Machines

We are looking for a Application Engineer working with OEM (original equipment manufacturer) in the field engineering with the technological focus on machine applications for wood working machines, for Italian and European market. We offer a permanent job in our Digital Factory Division, located in Milan.

What are my responsibilities?

· Software Developing of customer specific solutions in the field of wood working machines
· Applying of (standard) applications, based on numeric control, PLC, motion control, drives and motor (preferred SINUMERIK, SIMATIC and SINAMICS) in order to increase our business
· Intensify application competence in the wood segment and establish technological know-how center
· Close cooperation with key machine builders
· Conception, development, organization, coordination and technical realization of application training workshops in order to train internal application engineers and customers on products and solutions
· Optimization of (dynamic) machine behavior on customer side (motion control optimization)
· Planning, organization and execution of the commissioning activities

What do I need to qualify for this role?

· Minimum 3 years of experience in CNC, PLC, Motion Control & Mechanical Designs, Drives and Safety Technologies
· Preferred : good knowledge in SINUMERIK, SIMATIC (T-CPU) and SINAMICS
· Practical experience in machine commissioning and setup
· Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical / Electronic / Automation Engineering
· Knowledge in Ethernet based communication systems
· Knowledge of project management
· Business fluent in Italian, English, German (additional option)
· Intercultural experience preferable
