Job description
Job Summary:
Responsible for purchasing activity for a given commodity.
Key Responsibilities:
· Guide components & sub assembly selection with a purchasing approach (quality, cost, delivery time, innovation, avoid single sourcing, promote standardization): analyze and challenge the needs.
· Identify new technologies/suppliers, characterize gaps between needs & current panel. Provide local market intelligence and OCP project requirements to build sourcing strategies. Share key choices with commodity managers/cross functional team.
· Push co-development with suppliers and early supplier involvement, bring supplier market view to projects.
· Monitor and ensure competitive material cost to meet product target cost (design/redesign to cost);.Participate to cost estimation; Get and analyze supplier quotes.
· Negotiate all purchasing terms and conditions not already fixed by commodity manager. Set up contract with legal department for strategic parts & components.
Desired profile
Qualifications :
- Bachelor degree of Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Excellent command of English language.
- Professional user of MS office.
