Simulation Engineer (m/f) Electrical Dynamic Systems 80 - 100 %

Mobility is the goal

The main goal of this role is to elaborate, document and maintain simulation models used in the scope of elevator systems, beginning with the gathering of requirements and ending with final product validation. Further tasks include:

Execute models to simulate and predict an elevator system or sub-system dynamic behaviour, in the field of: power electronics, electrical power and distribution systems (LV, MV), electric motors
“Close the loop” by comparing the model results with measured data in close cooperation with our test department
Maintain a library of documented models linked to our architectural models
Deploy the model within the R&D organization and support engineering workforce to execute models during the deployment of various product lines
Redefine and validate new ways of working based on exploiting the possibilities of modelling and simulation
Responsibilities in the field of design, analysis, requirements gathering, testing and validation, deployment across the entire development life cycle

Mobility needs you

You are a strong conceptual and analytical thinker with good communication skills with an understanding and will to search for, work on and meet or exceed the customers need. Furthermore, you possess the following qualifications:

Masters or PhD degree in a scientific field such as physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent
Experience in the field of electrical dynamic system simulation as well as verification of simulation models would be an asset
Proven experience in applying the scientific method and engineering first principles when developing models and algorithms
Knowledge of Hardware in a Loop concept with hands on experience
MATLAB / Simulink / SimScape as well as basic knowhow in C/C++ or other programming language
Fluent in English, German would be a plus
