PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

 

The BI Consultant acts as analyst responsible for developing and implementing the architecture of storing, homogenization and presentation of information according with the requirements of business processes.  Responsible by understanding, design and construction of solution architecture that ensures a great achievement of the truth of the data, as the best practices and performance requirements. His or her performance is crucial in contributing to better use the platform of SAP solutions, adding value to our customers and perception by the market.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

 

·  Analyze business requirements, needs and goals of customers, direct procedures, SAP solutions and products that are being implemented.
·  Effective completion of the deliverables contracted within time and scope.
·  Facilitate ongoing communication and warning indicators for success to all members of the virtual team (before and after sales) during the implementation process.
·  Work closely with internal colleagues, external partners, and customer teams to ensure successful project completion.
·  Directly liaising with customer representatives from IT and the Business and managing expectations.
·  Ensure a good transition from pre-sales to implementation, easing the process of  "handoff" with the continued focus on customer satisfaction.
·  Support and execute pre-sales activities.
·  Expand own skill sets to new areas such as HANA & Predictive Analytics.

·  BI technical architecture using SAP BusinessObjects in SAP and non-SAP environments will be a plus, but is not required.

 

OPTIONAL

Following skills will be considered an advantage, but are not required:

 

·  Clear understanding of the requirements for reports and dashboards, and extensive knowledge in the portfolio of SAP BusinessObjects solutions (Dashboards, Web Intelligence, Crystal Reports, Visual Studio, Analysis for Office, Analysis for OLAP, Explorer, Visual Intelligence, BEx, Query Design, etc.)
·  Experience in designing, implementing and managing metadata solutions. Meta data definition and repository experience is a plus
·  Proven ability to design and develop appropriate technical solutions to meet challenging business requirements
·  Good understanding of SAP core products, including SAP NetWeaver architecture and BW design.
·  Experience in building ETL processes; Knowledge of data sources and data integration.
·  ABAP knowledge to develop transformation routines and other uses related to BW.
·  Enterprise Portal integration
·  Good understanding on in-memory technologies in particular HANA. Mathematical Modelling: MatLab, Predictive Workbech/SPSS, SAS, R.

 

 

WORK EXPERIENCE

·  Work experience or projects on the below will be considered an advantage:
·  SAP Business Warehouse
·  SAP Data Services
·  SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence Portfolio
·  Any other industry leading data warehouse platforms / tools Business Objects BI, BW or HANA certifications will be a major plus.
