PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

This internship at SAP Products & Innovations will allow you to participate in the professional development of business software, learn from an experienced team, and make your own contribution to the delivery of intelligent solutions for our customers.

As an intern/thesis student, you will join our development team based here in Tägerwilen (Lake Constance, CH). For some years now, our team has been working on multiple software solutions for the retail business. We are using the Scrum methodology and follow best practices for agile software development.

In your role, you will work with the product owner to create analytical reports for assortment planning which shall serve as templates for multiple customers with their individual requirements. Depending on your field of study and formal requirements, the project may be a suitable topic for a master/bachelor thesis.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Develop base reports based on SAP Analytics Cloud
Create sample reports for known existing customers
Create blueprint for the roll-out of specific reports

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

You are a currently enrolled student at a university or a university of applied sciences and studying preferably in the fields: Computer Science with a focus on data visualization.

Required Skills

Advanced knowledge of relational databases, including hands-on experience
Advanced programming skills (e.g. R, SQL)
Fluent in English, written and spoken

Preferred Skills

Practical experience of software development on SAP HANA
Knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse

Having worked as member of a team as well as independently
