POSITION SUMMARY

Using your passion for developing beautiful mobile applications, you will work in a team environment to design and develop healthcare SDK components and innovative applications in the health care space.

The preferred location of this position is Walldorf, Germany.

Key Expectations & Tasks:

· Design and build SDK components and applications for the Android platform
· Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of developed software
· Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
· Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
· Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
· Fluency in German and English both spoken and written

Ideal Candidate Profile:

· You are a graduate or young professional with a degree (bachelor/master) from an accredited university
· You have experience developing consumer-grade Android native applications, with minimum one application published in the Google Play store
· Candidate must be highly organized yet able to work in a flexible, fast-paced environment and have the ability to work on multiple, concurrent tasks and adapt to shifting priorities.

Required skills:

· Proficient with Java and JSON/XML
· Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
· Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices including Material Design
· Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
· Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
· Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance/memory tuning
· Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
· Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
· Proficient understanding of GIT
· Familiarity with continuous integration
· Ability to work in an agile development environment

Familiarity with one or more of these technologies is a plus, though not required:

· Knowledge of healthcare standards, such as HL7
· Experience in creating an SDK for other developers to use
· Familiarity with information security, encryption, etc.

Work Experience

This is an entry level position for upcoming or recent graduates with a maximum of 2 years work experience. Job related experience (e.g. internships, working student jobs) is beneficial.
