Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

·  Design and deliver supply chain management and distribution solutions using modeling tools
·  Analyzing supply chain issues and support decision making through modeling and optimization. 
·  Continuously optimize distribution and inventory management processes through data analysis, business request and external benchmarking.  

ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT:

Reporting to Senior Project Manager – Supply Chain Excellence

SUPERVISED RESOURCES:

None

Coaching on solutions and tools to rest of SC Team members.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

·  Overall responsible for modelling system (AIMMS), build models to address SC/distribution challenges, define and implement the appropriate analytical solution to deliver results
·  Translate data into information and insights with clear scenario analysis and execution plan to drive result
·  Review and validate data, build and validate models, run scenarios, and communicate the ideas and solutions of predictive and prescriptive modelling
·  Lead or participate in the modelling or optimization projects.
·  Continue to improve the process and methodology for analytics and modeling for such solutions
·  Provide structured analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities and communicate findings
·  Leverage knowledge from outside and ensure a sustainable implementation and knowledge transfer within Supply Chain, locally or globally

JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Education:                                

·  Bachelor degree in Operations Research / Management Information System / Supply Chain or other related areas
·  Master degree or above is a plus

Experience & knowledge:  

·  3-5 years experience in Supply chain /Business analysis/ industry engineering/ or supply chain consulting
·  Strong understanding of Statistics or advanced analytics as applied to business data analysis
·  Experience in modeling and simulation required – in supply chain, distribution or transportation planning
·  Experience in modeling and simulation tools (e.g. AIMMS, ILOG) or Optimization solutions (e.g. Llamasoft) is a plus
·  Advanced PPT and project management tools and techniques

·  Proven ability to understand massive data sets and transform the information into clear insights for the business
·  Strong communication and influence skills to translate complex analytical models into clear recommendations
·  Advanced analytical skills to master complex optimization techniques
·  Networking, negotiation skill, ability to influence upwards and make recommendations for changes.
·  Demonstrate Project management/process improvement skills
·  Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. MS Access would be a plus.
·  Self motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment
·  Open minded, learning agile and well-receptive to the way Sanofi is operation
·  Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written in Chinese and English.
