Job Summary

The Immunology and Inflammation Research Therapeutic Area in Sanofi is building a world-class immunology team and is seeking a highly motivated scientist to join the Precision Immunology Cluster.

·  The successful candidate will have extensive experience in immunology, cellular biology and multi-dimensional immune profiling, such as standard and spectral flow-cytometry, Luminex and ImageStream as well as strong energy and ability to learn and acquire new methods and technologies.
·  The candidate is expected to scientifically contribute to immunology projects across disease areas, setup immune profiling platforms as well as design and execute experiments.
·  The candidate will be using cell-, soluble markers- and immune-based assays as well as state-of-the-art high-throughput immune profiling technologies.
·  The candidate will work in the Precision Immunology Cluster, in close collaboration with scientists from other Clusters within the Immunology and Inflammation Research Therapeutic Area and functions across Sanofi, in a highly cross-functional and project-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

·  Design and conduct experiments and analytical procedures, applying a wide variety of scientific principles and concepts.
·  Coordinate research efforts and make key scientific and technical contributions for the strategic development of cross-functional projects.
·  Perform experiments, interpret and validate results.
·  Manage laboratory organization and safety.
·  Independently run immune profiling experiments using multi-color flow spectral cytometry as well as other technologies (e.g. ImageStream, Luminex)
·  Provide and promote support for operational excellence according to Sanofi values and ethics.
·  Share and contribute scientific and technical know-how and experience with cluster team members.
·  Prepare publications, research and clinical/regulatory documentation in accordance with Sanofi quality standards.

Essential Qualifications

·  PhD in Immunology or other life sciences with minimum of 0 years of industry or academic experience in immunology; or MS in Immunology or life sciences with minimum of 4 years of industry or academic experience in immunology and in vivo pharmacology;
·  Track record of recent scientific publications and high level of proficiency with high throughput profiling proteomics and immune profiling technologies such as multi-color flow cytometry and mechanistic studies of immune regulation.
·  Previous experience in managing a research associate

Preferred Qualifications

·  Team spirit and ability to work in a multidisciplinary matrix environment.
·  Strong background in human immunology, excellent publication track record
·  Broad experience with immunological and molecular principles and techniques including primary cell isolation/culture, multicolor flow cytometry, cell sorting, ELISA, qPCR, RNA and DNA isolation, immunoblot and Luminex technologies.
·  Sound knowledge of human immunology and proteomics
·  Experience with in vitro functional assays using human immune cells is highly desirable
