Controller (Financial Analyst) – LEBI, HR, Fringe & Other Functions, Global Support Functions Controlling

You will support the month-end and quarter-end closing activities (journal entries, forecast vs. actual analytics, landing, reconciliations, etc.) to help ensure your function has the most accurate, up to date figures to meet their targets and to drive results. Job Responsibilities:

·  Work closely with the LEBI (Legal, Ethics and Business Integrity) and HR (Human Resources) Finance Business Partners (FBPs) to support all controlling activities, including budget and forecast updates in BOOST (HC and expenses), conducting monthly closes (accrual calculations and confirmations, journal entry preparation and postings, intercompany invoicing), expense review and scorecard file updates, monthly Additional Information reporting and project tracker updates.
·  Manage LEBI, HR and Other Functions headcount changes, in conjunction with HR and BOOST COE, to ensure accurate monthly HC reporting for a perimeter of ~400 HC. Maintain monthly HC rosters for distribution to FBPs and the functions.
·  Provide controlling support as the FBP to the smaller functions. Controlling activities include preparation of budgets and forecasts (Budget / F1 / F2 / Quarterly Landings), monthly closings, project approval and tracking, and other financial planning & analysis activities. Partner closely with customer groups to drive results.
·  Assist the HR FBP with the controlling support for the Fringe Reserve (~$500M Reserve), including monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and reporting, monthly/quarterly intercompany invoicing, budgeting/forecasting and monthly actual vs budget analysis. Requires collaboration with other finance departments within Sanofi.
·  Process owner for all master data maintenance / updates and system related activity.
·  Support the financial reporting process, providing results directly to FBPs for monthly commentary. Forecast quarter results (landings) for corporate reporting.
·  Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, providing clear explanations of fluctuations as well as itemization of balance components.
·  Assist LEBI and HR FBPs with ad-hoc requests from customer groups/other account departments.
·  Build strong partnership with Global Controlling team in France promoting information-sharing and collaboration to best support the business.
·  Educate client groups on all aspects of financial policies and processes to ensure full compliance. Ensure compliance of all internal control processes, and take responsibility for monthly controlling checklists.
·  Utilize continuous improvement in daily activities to identify process simplification opportunities and enhance tools improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

·  Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university
·  2-3 years of Accounting / Finance experience, including public accounting and / or forecasting

Preferred Qualifications:

·  CPA
·  FLDP or pharmaceutical industry experience
·  MBA from an accredited college or university
·  Business partnering experience
