This position will be a key regulatory compliance support position. It will support the ongoing assessment of global regulations and execution of product compliance programs (CMR, REACH, RoHS, Packaging Reporting) managed by the Product HSE Compliance Team. The HSE Analyst will provide needed support to manufacturing plants on working with suppliers in order to acquire key data on the chemical composition of our components and parts. The position will also focus on supporting and creating tools and processes to ensure compliance with global environmental regulations. The HSE Analyst is expected to be responsible for multiple project tasks and work closely with cross functional team members.

• Gather and maintain HSE data ( Bill of Material data, Full Disclosure Documents, Packaging data)
• Utilize and create ad hoc reports and matrices
• Assist in development and tracking of KPIs and projects
• Maintain and develop tools in SharePoint 2010 and 2013
• Develop and maintain SDS inventory and databases for all Alcon product SDS
o Respond to and maintain internal and external SDS requests
• Create Excel databases to aggregate data and information
o Excel Charts, graphs, Vlookup, pivot tables, and organizational tools
o Assist with PowerPoint content
• Answer customer sustainability and packaging queries
• Basic knowledge of global product regulations

Minimum requirements

•Current student enrolled in an accredited university
•Ability to commit to a 10-12 week fulltime summer internship program
•Willingness to learn from others on the job and inside a specific team
•Curiosity to explore different functions and unique roles at Alcon

Preferred Requirements:
•Prior internship or co-op experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry
•Ability to demonstrate and excel in Quality, Innovation, Performance, Collaboration, Courage and Integrity in a cross-matrix team environment• Practical course work or work experience in the areas of manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, and other operational functions within a large organization
• Advanced Technical skills:
o MS Excel, SQL, Access, MS Project & Visio
o SharePoint
