Responsible for leading, coaching and motivating a team of Field Case Managers (3rd Party); driving quality execution of services to patients and healthcare professionals; managing strategic partnerships with key centers; building and maintaining customer relationships. The District Manager will be the central stakeholder reconciling execution of Novartis Patient Support Program strategy with validation of certain operational tasks at 3rd Party.

• Lead a group of Field Case Managers (FCMs) in the scope of “Best-in-Class” patient support pro-grams (PSPs) for various disease areas
• Monitor territory performance as per PSPs’ KPIs and strive for continuous improvement
• Action FCMs in a strategic manner to maximize patient benefit and brands’ objectives
• Acquire Novartis PSP related products knowledge, understand and apply related brand strategies and tactics and ensure FCMs execute optimally
• Provide input to development of brand plans
• Monitor FCM performance, provide high level coaching and ensure they are adequately trained on diseases, products, policies and procedures
• Maintain talent pipeline by hiring key talent, achieve high retention by promoting positive team spirit and building individualized development plans
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members to ensure optimal communication, collabo-ration on priorities and opportunities, and implementation of initiatives.
• Provide support in FCM meetings and in interactions with customer base
• Manage operational budgets and field spend,
• Conduct quarterly FCMs travel analysis to continuously improve efficiency
• Act as a role model for Novartis leadership standards and Values & Behaviors.
• Cascade support and respect compliance objectives and processes in line with law and with Novartis guidelines and ensure completion of all assigned corporate training.
• Identify innovative solutions for the optimal and safe use of Novartis products.

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

• University Degree (Graduate degree in Healthcare or Business administration an asset)
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with at least 3 years experience as a customer facing associate and 2 years of experience with a PSP. Previous management experience an asset.
• Superior business planning and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a group towards exceeding expectations.
• Strong planning, organization and decision-making skills.
• Customer and patient focused
• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
• Adaptability.
• Managing customer dissatisfaction escalation calls
• Strong ability to function with cross-functionally with various groups.
• Very good knowledge of the Canadian, national and provincial, healthcare systems and environment including drug reimbursement.
• Bilingualism, written and spoken (English and French)
