• Lead the Customer Relationship Team (CRT) with direct responsibility for both the Sales Team and the coordination and cross-functional collaboration of other customer-facing roles (e.g. Medical Scientific Liaisons (MSLs), Medical Advisors, Market access, Clinical Research Assistants (CRAs), Diagnostics, Patient advocacy group managers) working within the territory in order to ensure the right access to the market, sales performance, competitiveness while helping to reinforce the image and reputation of Novartis Oncology.
• Recruit, engage, motivate, develop and coach individuals and teams to realize their maximum performance and potential. To leverage the team’s knowledge, (both functional and cross-functional) skill-set and competencies to deliver the right solution to the right patient relative to their own particular regional environment. To take full responsibility for conducting individual performance appraisals and for coaching in the field.
• Holds key account management (KAM) responsibilities as can be the case with Centers of Excellence and other key institution-based accounts
• Align with BF Head and align to set performance management objectives based on customer integrated plans and sales specific targets
• Achieve territory objectives, in terms of sales, market share, customer targeting and resource allocation. Align with BF head to set disease and brand priorities and determine resource allocation.
• Ensures compilation and interpretation of customer-facing analytics as well as analytical understanding of individual territories.
• Monitor the national & regional market dynamics. To monitor the market dynamics of the Region, including the competition and the healthcare environment with the aim of anticipating challenges and of ensuring that our strategy and tactics meet the needs of the patient and reflect customers’ insights. To maintain a clear understanding of national/territory healthcare policies and factors that may affect access to the market, and local account and customers’ needs
• To keep fully up to date with local compliance and country legislation and ensure that all internal regulations and processes are followed to the letter by all members of the team.
• To ensure compliance in all interactions throughout the organization and to maintain regular liaison with the regional and local compliance functions to see that all processes and activities comply with internal and external policies (e.g. deontological code, global and local guidelines, Standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Desired profile

Minimum requirements

• University degree or equivalent in Science, Medicine or Biology
• Marketing/Business qualification, PhD and/or MBA is a strong asset
• Sound sales experience in Pharma required
• 2+ years medical marketing/brand management experiences in a highly competitive environment with a proven track record working cross functionally with marketing, medical, sales and market access
• Business fluent level of German & English, a good level of written & spoken French is also relatively essential for this role
• A solid entrepreneurial and self-driven mindset with a solid acumen is essential for success in this position
