Role Purpose:
Enable and drive compliant, ethical conduct through development of processes and guidelines related to the Novartis Compliance Program throughout Novartis by supporting the Novartis training and communication program to manage compliance and reputation risks.
Develop NVS wide I&C training and comms strategies under the overall leadership of the Head of Training Group I&C and in close coordination with the Group Integrity & Compliance team, Business Leaders, Country Compliance Heads and Representatives from other Functions.
Further develop an integrated compliance training and comms strategy for Novartis, drive and support the implementation, via the Divisions and the Countries, of this strategy and program to pro-actively and substantially reduce NVSs’ compliance and reputation risks

Responsibilities:
• Enable a strategic approach to strengthen Training and communication programs: Take the Novartis training and comms Program to best-in-class level and stay ahead of development of adult learning requirements. Lead coordination with other Functions. Drive Major Accountabilities and oversee program implementation in divisions and countries.
• Provide Thought Leadership & “top-expertise” in all relevant training areas: Manage & support implementation of policies, procedures, guidelines that effectively address all relevant training elements. Innovate by applying latest trends, including but not limited to micro learning and risk-based training strategies.
• Align I&C training program with the Novartis digital strategy ensuring digital channels and formats are fully used to enhance the engagement of all associates.
• Embed training and comms programs into existing Leadership and functional training programs: Manage & support development, delivery & coordinate delivery of trainings to Compliance, Legal, other Functions & Business. Integration of Novartis Leadership development programs
• Ensure a robust implementation and monitoring of training, comms and adult learning programs: Guide and support the Business on remediation of gaps in the training and prevention efforts. Together with the Compliance Manager Monitoring & Country Support, analyze BPO cases and Internal Audits to identify trends & priorities for further development of Novartis’ training program. Ensure uptake of risk, issues and BPO cases so that organization can improve and learn.
• Strategically develop analytical training metrics and outcome measures to enable consistent data points demonstrating training effectiveness for various and functions/countries. Continuously develop and improve metrics to enhance and deepen learning over time and support a company-wide learning culture. Drive external benchmarking of latest compliance training development, trends in adult and virtual leaning

Minimum requirements

Minimum Requirements:
• University degree with other relevant discipline/qualifications Fluent English essential, another European language would be desirable.
• 2-3 years of work in pharmaceutical, device or healthcare industries with relevant exposure to compliance function or related components preferred - Other equivalent, highly regulated industry experience (e.g., financial services) may also be considered.
• Experience with balancing global standards and local cultures.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and collaborate within and across cross-functional teams and business units, in a matrixed environment
