**Must be willing to work a 12-hr. Rotating Night Shift Schedule (4 days on, 4 days off)**

This position is an entry level engineering position with the intent of exposing college graduate engineers to manufacturing equipment and processes through a hands-on maintenance technician position.

As maintenance manufacturing skillsets and knowledge develop and aptitude, initiative, and the ability to consistently deliver results are demonstrated, degreed maintenance technicians are eligible to progress to other areas of the Alcon engineering department (automation, project management, maintenance supervision).

Performs corrective and preventive maintenance on critical facilities systems (HVAC, autoclaves, dry heat ovens, water treatment systems) and manufacturing process equipment (compounding reactors, mix tanks, fill lines). Leads small projects to improve equipment/process reliability, efficiency, and operation as well as standardize equipment design.

Planning: Coordinate equipment availability with production to ensure maintenance is completed within required timeframe. Plan and execute maintenance and project work with minimal supervision. Partner with production to identify windows for maintenance activity completion. Effective communication of equipment operations status. Able to estimate time required for maintenance activities.

Technical: Equipment / process troubleshooting and documentation of equipment repairs. Write and implement SOPs and PM procedures. Locate and diagnoses failures through in-depth data analysisAssess equipment condition and replace worn or defective components. Perform troubleshooting using advanced electronic equipment, isometric and P&ID drawings, diagrams, historical data trending (OSI PI), programmable logic controllers (Allen Bradley), functional specifications, operating and component manuals, and verbal/written instructions. Maintain detailed maintenance documentation and repair logs. Complete maintenance documentation at the time of maintenance completion.
