Job Description
The purpose of this position is to support process research, process development and process up scaling for new medical device products. This position will contribute to the investigation and evaluation of existing technology. It will also be involved in research and design of new methodologies, materials, machines and/or processes as needed for medical device development.
• Assists in the design, development, testing, implementation and documentation of engineering processes to meet the needs of new and existing products.
• Applies fundamental level analysis to provide solutions to rudimentary problems arising within the department.
• Executes specified options to adapt or improve existing approaches.
• Applies fundamental engineering principles to the research and/or development of medical devices.
• Provides engineering support to science and technology developments.
• Participates in design reviews.
• Ensures regulatory, statutory and legislative compliance for all project work.
• Demonstrates ability to follow established procedures and executes work under close supervision; however also has some latitude for decision making on certain issues.
• Encounters common engineering problems and selects best option from a set of defined procedures.
• Completes documentation with strict compliance and accuracy in regards to mandatory requirements.
• Provides effective and clear communication of information to internal and/or external clients.
• Requires broad awareness of the roles of immediate team members and functions.
• Contributes to ideas which directly impact the R&D pipeline.

Minimum requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Proficient in the use of the English language, both oral and written.
• Knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and research methods.
• Ability to work on a variety of problems related to the engineering discipline.
• Familiarity with process improvement and problem-solving methodology.
• Solid understanding of applied practices, concepts, and processes in relation to Engineering.
