Job description

Responsibilities of Position:
• Perform quality inspections according to documented procedures and technical specifications
• Manage the process and product non-conformances with Safran Landing Systems
• Participate in root cause analysis to resolve deviations from quality specifications and/or procedures
• Monitor process performance indicators
• Organize the labeling, storage, and documentation for reject/on hold materials according to Safran Landing Systems QMS procedures
• Perform cross-check inspections for manufacturing processes
• Verify the use of quality procedures/specifications to control production processes
• Support and initiate continuous improvement ideas in order to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost
• Perform other related duties as required

Candidate skills & requirements

Physical/Environmental Scope of Position:
• vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction, and the exchange of ideas in the industrial environment
• subjected to inside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, oils, and other related industrial hazards
• perform manual labor requiring balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 20 pounds regularly

Experience/Education/Certification Required:
• Two years of college or related trade/technical degree preferred
• Two years experience in the quality field or one year experience in manufacturing
• Ability to effectively read and interpret engineering drawings (ASME Y14.5 preferred)
• Accurate use of metrology instruments
• Proficient use of word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word, Excel)
